Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in New Zealand

Dear Folks,

06 me lecturingI just returned from New Zealand where I taught my first advanced class in biodynamic craniosacral therapy in the southern hemisphere. The venue was a boat house up on stilts overlooking a gorgeous bay and working with the fluid body and Primary Respiration was sublime. Students came from Malaysia, Australia, and other parts of the world for this class. It’s true what they say about Kiwis, which is what New Zealanders are called. They are so friendly that many of the students stayed in homes surrounding the venue. All the shop owners knew us by the end of the class.

02 brian demoI was able to travel around the north island with my wife and see some very popular beaches. Surfing is a huge phenomenon and just watching the surfers was an amazing experience of working with waves, currents and tides. Primary Respiration is alive and well in New Zealand. My host was Ged Sumner, who offers the only foundation training in biodynamic craniosacral therapy in either New Zealand or Australia. He was a terrific host and has found a way to integrate his teaching of Chi Kung into biodynamic teaching and practice. He also has a love of the embryo and we were very compatible. He even came up to watch the Super Bowl with us, which indeed was broadcast live in New Zealand.

I’ve been invited back to teach the heart course in New Zealand next February and I invite everyone to attend. It will be posted on my website soon.

Love,

Michael
