Birth Ignition involves the Long Tide, the Mid Tide and the transition physiology from aquatic breathing to air breathing after birth. This is intimately related to the suck-swallow-breathing reflex that infants must master. In this 4 day class, participants will develop a basic understanding of regulation theory as it applies to infants. This includes an overview of the development of thoracic respiration from conception through birth.

The therapeutic approach to working with adults and children will be through the practice of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and specifically the ignition process. This includes being able to differentiate different layers within the Mid Tide especially the longitudinal fluctuation and the reciprocal tension potency as it relates to the birth process. Table work includes working with the osteopathic notion of the infant’s “first breath” and its relationship to Primary Respiration. Topics students will experience during the class will include:

• Regulation theory
• Synchronizing Primary and Secondary Respiration
• The relationship of birth to conception
• Differentiating EV4 and CV4 in the Mid Tide

L’Accensione alla Nascita.

Il processo di Accensione alla Nascita coinvolge la Marea Lunga, la Marea Media e la transizione fisiologica dal respiro acquatico al respiro aereo dopo la nascita. Questo processo è intimamente collegato ai riflessi di suzione-deglutizione-respirazione che i neonati devono pad roneggiare. Svilupperemo una comprensione di fondo della teoria della regolazione e di come si applica ai neonati: Ciò include una panoramica sulle neuroscienze che riguardano il mondo degli affetti, i diversi livelli di attaccamento madre-figlio e come questo sia in relazione al rappporto cliente-operatore. Il lavoro di contatto include la nozione osteopatica del “primo respiro” del neonato e della sua relazione con la respirazione primaria. Inoltre ci sarà un’attenzione alla comprensione del processo di nascita come quella di un CV4 (compressione del quarto ventricolo).

• La sinc ronizzazione della respirazione primaria e secondaria
• La relazione della nascita con il concepimento
• La differenziazione dell’EV4 e del CV4 nella Marea Medi

Tuition: $525 for the 4 Day Course for early registration, $590 for late registration.
